About The Lab

Colored Girls Liberation Lab (CGLL Or The Lab) is an inter-generational healing, dreaming and innovation space centering Black women and femme identifying people. This is a space for you to dream and design your most liberated life in community with others like you with loving accountability. 

Centuries of systemic racism and oppression have limited our ability to think, dream and imagine and our ability to be still and rest. The Lab is a safe and brave space for Black women and femmes to just be.

The Formula

The Lab is built around four pillars we call The Formula:

• HEAL focusing on mental health, physical health, building community, laughter and joy in order to nurture our capacity to dream and innovate together.
• DREAM incorporating dreaming and rest as a liberation practice so our dreams become about more than simply survival.
• INNOVATE using our imagination to create new ways to live free for ourselves and our communities with loving accountability.
• LIBERATE creating multiple paths to liberation in solidarity with our community.

Multiple Ways to Support

• General Membership. Our General Membership plan gives you access to our amazing community of dreamers. You'll get access to our Dreams & Schemes resource hub, discounted access to our SistaCircles, and first access to all of our in-person experiences and retreats.
• bell’s Circle. Named for one of my greatest teachers, this level of membership gives you a deeper lab experience with an optional 1-on-1 dream session with Jenn, discounted experiences and retreats, and access to pilot programs. You’ll also get access to our SistaCircles for FREE, which are intimate communities of practice centered around a particular area of growth or interest.

Meet Jenn

Colored Girls Liberation Lab was founded by Jenn Roberts. Jenn is a social designer, facilitator, equity strategist, artist, and mother. She has spent almost 20 years designing and curating immersive experiences to help folks imagine more equitable futures for historically underestimated groups.
